Congratulations to John R. Hill and Julisa A. Medina on another successful trial!
They achieved a defense verdict following a week-long jury trial in Carbon County, PA. The Defendant, a gastroenterologist, allegedly performed a colonoscopy which was contraindicated under the circumstances, resulting in a perforation of the patient’s colon, several long hospitalizations and need for a colostomy bag. The jury rendered a verdict for the doctor, with a finding of no negligence.
