Anthony M. Knapp focuses on Casualty Litigation representing clients in dram shop, products, and premises liability matters. His clients include self-insured individuals and businesses, multi-line insurers and third-party administrators (TPAs) sued for civil damages associated with: an alleged defective product; alleged over-service of alcoholic beverages to a patron at a bar or restaurant; or an assault, fall, or significant injury-causing event on a client property.

Prior to joining Hill Fenstermaker Mr. Knapp was an attorney with a regional insurance defense firm. Early in his career, he honed his skills “on the other side of aisle” for a Plaintiff’s personal injury firm – invaluable experience which he now carries over to his defense practice. He also served as a legal intern to the General Counsel of a large, regional health system and clerked for Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Allan Tereshko.

Anthony was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. He has over a decade of experience in all phases of litigation, including taking cases to verdict or binding arbitration.

In his free time he can found running, volunteering at the Humane Society, and enjoying music performances.

Qualifications

Anthony received his B.A. in Finance and Accounting, from Desales University, where he was the undersecretary of his college a cappella group, the "Acca-fellas."

Anthony is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

What is your key to success?

Success comes from hard work, preparation, and the ability to see what’s coming at you. F. Scott Fitzgerald said that the test of a first-rate intellect is to hold two opposing thoughts and retain the ability to function, and I see the need to analyze both sides of an issue as essential for case preparation.

What excites you most day-to-day about the work you do?

I love getting to know what drives a client. Discovering what motivates them, what their strategic decisions are, and what makes them successful are essential to getting them the result that they not only want, but need. In order to truly understand the client’s point-of-view you must know the minute details that are important to them, and learning those aspects of their life is exciting and essential.

What do you do outside of work?

My passion project is the volunteer work I do at my local animal shelter. You will hopefully find me outside, training and walking dogs or doing anything I can to help the shelter succeed in its mission to be a resource to the community around it for both the people and pets.

Results

Mr. Knapp has achieved many notable favorable results for her clients, including:

A 2026 dismissal of a lawsuit with a $1,000,000 demand where the Plaintiff alleged the defendant was negligent for maintaining their shared common area.
A 2025 dismissal of a Dragonetti lawsuit against defendant attorney.
A 2023 dismissal of a lawsuit of a defendant alleged to be responsible for part of a public road in a lawsuit involving a motor vehicle accident with significant personal injuries
Dismissal of criminal charges for a Pro Bono Defendant in response to a motion which challenged the scope of the applicable statutes.
